Calvin Klein Confirms Raf Simons as Chief Creative Officer

After months of speculation, In a statement posted to their social media, American fashion house Calvin Klein, Inc. confirmed the appointment of Raf Simons as Chief Creative Officer. The news follows Simon's departure from French house, Christian Dior.
In a statement released after leaving Dior, Simons insisted, "It is a decision based entirely and equally on my desire to focus on other interests in my life, including my own brand, and the passions that drive me outside of my work."
Simons' arrival at PVH Corp.-owned Calvin Klein is a historic moment for the company, which for the first time since's it's namesake's departure is being lead by a single creative vision. This comes after an announcement by Calvin Klein's new global creative strategy to reunify their brand.
“Not since Mr. Klein himself was at the company has it been led by one creative visionary, and I am confident that this decision will drive the Calvin Klein brand and have a significant impact on its future."said Steve Shiffman, CEO of Calvin Klein, Inc.
The brands looks to grow to $10 billion dollars in global retail sales and hopes that the new leadership will " further strengthen the brand’s premium positioning worldwide and pave the way for future long-term global growth."⠀
