Charitable Ping-Pong event where guests play against NHL Players returns to Toronto

More than 20 current and former NHL players will attend year five of Smashfest on Thursday, July 21 in Toronto presented by the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA). NHL player Dominic Moore will return to host the charitable event.

This year, the following current and former players are scheduled to participate: Dominic Moore (Host), Nathan Beaulieu, Sam Bennett, Alex Burrows (two-time defending Pro-Am Champion), Ben Chiarot, Michael Del Zotto, Patrick Eaves (defending Player Champion), Aaron Ekblad, Adam Graves, Alex Killorn, Chris Kreider, Nick Kypreos, Mitch Marner, Dylan McIlrath, John Mitchell, Darnell Nurse, Zac Rinaldo, Antoine Roussel, Wayne Simmonds, Jeff Skinner, Devante Smith-Pelly and Cam Talbot.

Smashfest is a charitable ping-pong event where guests party with NHL players and have the opportunity to square off with and against them in the Smashfest Pro-Am Doubles Tournament. This is followed by a singles bracket which crowns the Smashfest NHL Player Champion.

Smashfest host Dominic Moore describes the great event telling us that "the guests and NHL players in attendance enjoy a fun night around the ping-pong tables while raising money for two important causes — concussion and rare cancer research. Limited passes are on sale for those people who are still hoping to attend.”

Held at Steam Whistle Brewery, Smashfest also provides beverages throughout the evening and catered buffet for all guests, who also have the opportunity to bid on one-of-kind silent and live auction items.
