On a chilly Tuesday night, tastemakers from across Toronto escaped the November flurries to enter the Broadview Hotel for Bay Street Bull’s second annual panel discussion, Women Who Lead.
The evening’s panel offered a holistic look at how to build a better business. Hosted in the elegant Lincoln Hall of the Broadview Hotel in Toronto’s east end, more than 200 entrepreneurs, innovators and industry leaders came together to celebrate women in business. As guests arrived, they were greeted to a selection of beverages from ice cold Peroni beer, a selection of MEIOMI wines, NÜTRL vodka to VIBE Organic Black Tea, and Seedlip, a distilled non‑alcoholic spirit.
Panelists included Rachel Kelly (Founder, Make Lemonade), Tamara Mimran (Managing Director, Alfred Sung) and Permpreet Sidhu (Vice President, Performance and Inclusion, Scotiabank). Moderated by Editor-in-Chief, Lance Chung, the evening’s discussion highlighted both the mental and logistical challenges entrepreneurs face when starting a business, how to succeed in your field and how to build an inclusive, diverse organization.
Guests were treated to an exclusive sneak peak of the upcoming launch of the new BSBTV platform on Youtube. The entrepreneurial series, She Means Business, created in partnership with Facebook Canada played on screens in the Facebook Lounge lit by flickering candles as guests cozied up in She Means Business branded blankets.
