Aged in oak barrels in France, Marquis de Villard, is a signature French brandy named after the wife of cellar master, Odette Villard, as an homage to her warm spirit. Fragrant with aromas of sweet apple and vanilla, with hints of spice and butterscotch, this classic brandy is full of bold, smooth flavors that are the epitome of the holiday season. The Metropolitan is brandy’s take on the Manhattan, and it doesn’t disappoint.

Directions:

  • In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add:
  • 11⁄2 oz. Marquis de Villard
  • 1 oz. sweet vermouth
  • 1⁄2 tsp. simple syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Shake and strain into a chilled rocks glass.
